I’m Anastasia Creaser—a photographer, social media manager, fashion and interior design connoisseur, art aficionado, content day visionary, and now, proud owner of The August Room. I built this space because I saw a gap in Oxford Hills and Maine overall, something it was missing—a high-end, creative studio where artists can bring bold ideas to life.
The August Room isn’t just a studio; it’s a statement. I’ve poured my passion for design and creativity into every detail, from the installations that rotate, to the thoughtfully designed space that inspires. I didn’t just want to create a studio; I wanted to create an experience, a place where your vision can flourish and your artistry can thrive while also maintaining a great client experience. I’ve never been so sure of myself- every detail has been catered to.
This space is for those who aren’t afraid to push boundaries, to take their creativity to the next level. My design inspiration came from my recent trips to Boston, NYC, and Miami, where I soaked in the vibrant colors, luxurious textures, and dynamic elements of these beautiful cities. There’s no reason why we can’t have a taste of that in Maine. The August Room reflects that energy—a place where innovation meets elegance.

From the moment you step into The August Room, you’re immersed in a space designed to inspire and elevate your creative process. Massive windows flood the studio with beautiful natural light, perfect for window-lit photography, and a versatile vintage couch that can be styled or moved to fit your vision.

A standout feature of the studio is the custom-built bookshelf, which extends from floor to ceiling, filled with books spanning various topics, authors, and eras. Some of these books are rare finds, others nostalgic, and all invite you to pick one up and explore if you have a spare moment during your rental. This bookshelf is not only a functional desk for tutoring or mentoring but also serves as a unique backdrop for headshots and branding photoshoots.
The main shooting area, positioned next to the abundant window light, offers a versatile setup perfect for creating the ideal atmosphere. The room features customizable, transparent drapery in neutral tones that can be used to section off different areas, allowing you to craft multiple sets within the space. These strung drapes are entirely at the renter’s disposal, giving you the freedom to create various backdrops that suit your vision. Whether you want soft, flowing textures or structured, layered looks, the drapes offer endless possibilities for changing the mood and style of your shoot.
In the back of the studio, the client and renter area features a full-body mirror with a stunning view of the studio behind it—ideal for content creation. The funky bathroom, with coral and pink walls adorned with eclectic art, adds a splash of personality. Meanwhile, the spacious changing room offers a comfortable area to prepare, complete with a clothing rack, neon sign, and umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. It’s more than a place to get ready—it’s another perfect backdrop for photos and content creation.
